1st Line IT Support

Job Role: 1st Line 1T Support
Location: Nottingham - Remote/Hybrid
Salary: £28,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Harper Recruitment Group are working in partnership with an expanding and highly reputable UK based business. Due to continued success and exciting growth plans the IT department is expanding and are looking for an IT Support person to join the friendly and supportive team.

The successful IT support person will provide 1st line resolution via telephone and email with occasional travel to site to help with hardware implementation, installations and migration projects.


What will the role involve?

Respond to user issue escalations and problem resolution
Work cohesively with 3rd party support to ensure all tickets are resolved within the SLA
Field and resolve user questions about IT services
Responsible for all IT elements of the onboarding and offboarding of staff
Manage licencing and user accounts across all in-house and 3rd party platforms used by the business
Occasional visit to sites across the UK to provide in person support for various projects (full expenses paid)
Identify problematic areas and propose solutions
Point of communication between user and service desk, escalating where required
Keep up to date and accurate records, e.g. asset management and equipment allocation

Person Specification:

Proven experience as an IT Assistant or helpdesk support
Knowledge of supporting: Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online
Solid understanding of hardware and peripherals
Microsoft Windows OS
Active Directory
Broad knowledge of IT Systems, Application Management and Networking
Excellent communicator – interpersonal/written/verbal skills
